The 2020 Honda City is almost ready for an official launch. As with every new car displayed, teased or spied and has been either shelved or postponed, the New Honda City makes no exceptions. The New City was supposed to launch by 16th March 2020. The New City has been unveiled in the Thailand market back in November 2019 and it has got the fans and enthusiasts divided over the looks.

There are two lines of arguments with the first stating that the New Honda City has lost its original shape and stance and now looks overdone. The exterior look elongated with undersized wheels. The statement is somewhat true ad the new City is a big departure from the old one and now looks nothing like the Honda City of the yesteryears.
The others say that the new features and changes are welcoming and add more value to the proposition. New features like the lane-watch camera, Alexa-enabled connected car technology, semi-digital dash, TPMS, Hill Assist are refreshing and much needed.

2020 Honda City Engine
The new Honda City is expected to feature the revised BS6 compliant 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol (120bhp) and 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine (99bhp). Both these engines will get a 6-speed manual transmission with an option of a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), unlike the current generation model, where only the petrol gets the CVT.

The 2020 Honda City will get a host of brand new features like a Lane Watch Camera, a new 8.0 Infotainment System with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (probably won’t be called the DigiPad), as part-digital part-analogue 7-inch instrument cluster with G-meter, Alexa-enabled connected car technology, LED tail lamps/DRLs, headlights/cabin lights, VSA (Vehicle Stability Assist), Agile Handling Assist (AHA), Hill Assist, TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) and more
2020 Honda City Dimensions
Dimension-wise, the New Honda City will be longer than the outgoing one (20mm longer) and will get more ground clearance according to Indian road conditions. The New City measure at 4549 mm in length, 1748 mm in width and 1489 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2600mm.
The 2020 Honda City will most probably launch earlier this year or in the first quarter of 2020. The New City will compete against its present rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Vento, Skoda Rapid and the upcoming Tata Peregrine. We expect Honda to price the Fifth-Generation City in the Rs. 10 lakh to 16 lakh bracket.
