2023 Hyundai i20 Facelift Debuts in Europe!

The 2023 i20 has been spied testing a couple of times in the past few months on international roads now, it has finally been revealed for the European market. It might enter the market later this year but it will take some time to come to Indian shores. Let’s see what’s new:

Design

2023 Hyundai i20 Facelift

The facelift features mild changes to the front grille & LED DRLs and some minor changes to the front fascia. The positioning of their logo has also been tweaked along with a revised bumper with tweaked air vents directed towards the edges.

Now, the logo is placed on the bonnet rather than the grille. The rear profile gets a revised bumper with a blacked-out section along with a prominent faux diffuser to add to the sporty element. The side profile is unchanged but the car stands on a new set of alloy wheels. Three new colour options have also been added they are as follows: Meta Blue Pear, Lucid Lime Metallic & Lumen Grey Pearl.

Powertrain

2023 Hyundai i20 Facelift

The European version will be powered by the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine available in two tuning stages generating 99 HP & 118 HP respectively. It is mated to a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT. However, the Indian spec variant might get not get the same.

The current i20 is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine making 82 HP & 87 HP depending on the variant with 114 Nm torque. It might get the same engine in a different tuning stage.

Improved Safety & Features

2023 Hyundai i20 Facelift

Safety has been a major concern and going in line all manufacturers are adding ADAS features to their cars. The 2023 i20 gets ADAS features such as an updated forward collision warning system & lane keep assist. Other optional ADAS features would include blind spot collision avoidance & rear cross-traffic collision along with smart cruise control.

The interior also gets a revised instrument cluster allowing users to go for a 10.25-inch digital display and a similar-sized touchscreen infotainment system. It also gets a Lucid Lime interior across the doors, air vents, seats & gear lever gaiter.
