That said, let’s take a look at the cars that will be launching this month. This time around, we expected the Indian automotive market to get a new SUV, electric car, a hatchback, a pickup truck, an MPV, a sedan and a hatchback. Et. Voila. Skoda Slavia 1.5-litre
This week, the Czech auto giant Skoda recently launched their new Sedan, the Slavia. But the car launched is offered with a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine. But Skoda is expected to launch the Slavia with a bigger 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine.

This sedan with a bigger motor generated 150ps of max power and 250Nm of peak torque. Like the 1.0-litre variant, the 1.5-litre will also get an option of a 6-speed manual and an automatic. But unlike the former, 1.5-litre will get a 7-speed DSG box.

Volkswagen Virtus
Moving on, just like the Slavia next sedan to launch in March is also based on the MQB AO IN platform, the Volkswagen Virtus. Apparently, the Vento successor will also share the same set of engines as the Skoda. Virtus will be coming with two turbo petrol engines, a 1.0-litre and a bigger 1.5-litre. The 1.0-litre mill generates 115ps of max power and 175Nm of peak torque.

The other produces 150ps of max power and 250Nm of peak torque. The story continues on the transmission front as well. So, those are the vehicle’s aesthetics where the difference lies. Additionally, Volkswagen has recently teased Virtus before its launch. About that, the unveil is expected in the first week of March, followed by its launch sometime later.

Toyota Hilux
One of the most anticipated vehicles is expected to launch in March 2022, Toyota Hilux. The second entry into India’s pickup truck segment, Hilux competes against the only competitor, Izuzu D-MAX V-Cross. That said, Toyota unveiled the Hilux on 20th January 2022.

Now, we are certain that all the variants will get a 2.8-litre turbo diesel capable of generating peak power of 201hp and a whopping 500Nm of peak torque. The engine will be mated to either a 6-speed MT or a torque converter automatic (just like the fortune)

MG ZS EV Facelift
The following vehicle on the list is an electric vehicle from the house of MG. Like the Astor which is a petrol power ZS, will get similar updates on the new ZS EV facelift. The company is readying up to launch the vehicle on 7th March 2022.

The next car to launch this month is the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. The facelift Ertiga is an expected feature, feature upgrades on the inside. For instance, this MPV might get an upgraded infotainment system on the inside. Also, with rising fuel prices, the company might also launch more variants with dual fuel iteration, CNG and Petrol.

Also, there is unlikely a powertrain change in the vehicle. We expect Maruti Suzuki to launch the Ertiga facelift by the end of March. Ertiga comes with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol gas guzzler. This motor generated 105ps of max power and 138Nm of peak torque.

Maruti Suzuki has just launched the new generation Baleno, and oh boy! It gets a ton of upgrades inside and outside. The same will be the case with the new Toyota Glanza. Like before, we expect Toyota to tweak the exterior with minor changes on the grille, bumper and headlights.
