BYD eMAX 7 Launched in India at ₹ 26.9 Lakh

BYD’s top-of-the-line EV MVP now with a subtle facelift, topping at 180 km/hr and level 2 ADAS

The MAX 7 is not simply another electric vehicle in the line-up of electric vehicles. Essentially a heavily updated iteration of the e6 electric MPV that has been around since 2021, the eMax 7 gets a subtle facelift on the outside, powertrain updates, and a long list of features. It effectively replaces the e6 in BYD India.

BYD eMAX 7: Battery and Performance

The MPV will be available with two battery options. At the lower end, the Premium variant features 55.4kWh batteries, a 161 bhp motor and 310Nm of torque with a range of 420 km. The Superior variant is equipped with a 71.8kWh battery and provides power of 201bph and torque of 310nM, with a range of 530 km claiming a top speed of 180km per hour for both variants.

On the other hand, the eMAX 7 ensures safety with six airbags, a 360-degree camera, TPMS, and Level 2 ADAS tech.

The eMAX 7 differs from the e6 in its form, which is less utilitarian and has more dramatic lines, particularly wearing the BYD – dragon face elements.

It has LED headlamps connected with a single chrome bar, angular air intakes and new 17-inch wheels. It’s available in four colour options: quartz blue, harbour grey, crystal white and cosmos black.

The eMAX 7 has numerous improvements compared to the e6 model, among which are the rotating horizontal 12.7-inch infotainment system and modernised dashboard design consisting of a fixed panoramic glass roof, powered and ventilated front seats, frameless front wipers, and roof rails, among other bits. The vehicle is sold with a six-seater and seven-seater options.
