2026 Tata Punch EV Facelift Revealed Ahead of Launch

Tata Motors has officially revealed the 2026 Tata Punch EV facelift ahead of its scheduled launch on 20 February 2026. The electric compact SUV presents new exterior design elements while maintaining its established electric powertrain system. The Punch EV already stands as one of the highest selling electric vehicles within its price range but the makeover will introduce fresh visual elements which will help the vehicle maintain its market position against upcoming electric vehicles in India. The update concentrates on design improvements because Tata aims to expand its successful elements.

Tata Punch EV Facelift Exterior: What’s Changed?

The Tata Punch EV Facelift has made all exterior modifications which start from the front section of the vehicle. Tata has given the Punch EV a cleaner and more EV-focused face. The design team redesigned the closed-off grille which now includes a new scuff plate that creates an off-road appearance. The black trim strip which previously connected the headlights, has been completely removed from the design. The front end now displays an updated design that uses separate headlamps instead of the previous connected look. The design now appears less busy because the connected LED DRL light bar has been removed from the design.

The new aero-optimised alloy wheels which were introduced as a new feature show design elements which were taken from the Nexon EV. Tata Motors has introduced a new yellow color option for the updated Punch electric vehicle. The new shade which closely matches ‘Sunlit Yellow’ from the Harrier vehicle creates a modern appearance for the electric vehicle. The top variants will maintain their previous feature of providing a black roof, which contrasts with the rest of the vehicle.

The rear design of the Tata Punch EV facelift remains undisclosed by Tata, but people expect the rear section to include connected LED tail lamps and a new bumper design that matches the style of the ICE Punch facelift.

Tata Punch EV Facelift Interior: What to Expect Inside?

Tata Motors has not yet revealed the Tata Punch EV Facelift interior, but the company has introduced new updates across its product line which will lead to minor yet significant changes. The existing Punch EV will maintain its current cabin design because it already follows Tata’s contemporary design standards. Potential updates could include new interior colour themes and a larger touchscreen infotainment system which could use a 12.3-inch unit to match newer Tata models. The dashboard will maintain its current design which emphasizes both practical functionality and user-friendly operation.

The majority of present premium features will remain intact with the digital instrument cluster and ventilated front seats and 360-degree camera and wireless phone charging and connected car technology and electric sunroof and ambient lighting and six airbags which function as standard equipment. The Punch EV facelift maintains its position as one of the most equipment-packed electric vehicles within its market category.

Battery, Range and Performance: No Mechanical Changes

The Tata Punch EV Facelift will keep its current mechanical system intact which benefits customers who prefer the existing equipment. Tata will continue to provide its customers with two available battery pack choices.

The 25kWh battery pack provides an ARAI-certified range of approximately 265 km when combined with an electric motor that generates 82 PS and 114 Nm of torque. This version targets urban customers who require an economical and functional electric vehicle solution. The ARAI testing results show that the 35kWh battery pack delivers a maximum driving distance of 365 kilometers when used with a motor that produces 122 PS power and 190 Nm torque. Buyers who need superior performance with extended driving distance should choose this particular model.

The upcoming model will have identical charging systems and performance metrics and driving traits compared to the existing model.

Expected Price and Rivals

The Tata Punch EV currently has a price range that starts at Rs. 9.99 lakh and ends at Rs. 14.44 lakh which excludes showroom taxes. Tata Motors will maintain its current prices for lower trim levels after the facelift according to industry expectations while higher trim levels will experience a minor price increase because of new design elements and additional features.

The 2026 Tata Punch EV Facelift will maintain its pricing between Rs. 10 lakh and Rs. 15 lakh which makes it affordable for new electric vehicle buyers. The Punch EV competes with the Citroen eC3 while serving as an alternative to the Tata Tiago EV for customers who want an SUV design and raised height.
