For years, we Indians didn’t give quite an attention to safety features onboard a vehicle. Instead, what we focus on was either the pricing or the mileage. Well, thankfully things are slowly changing. Much like the consumers, even manufacturers are now proudly including modern-day safety tech onboard their latest vehicles, even the more affordable ones. One such modern-day safety tech is the TPMS or tyre pressure monitoring system. So here are 10 affordable vehicles that come with TPMS.
1. Nissan Magnite
The hottest vehicle in Nissan’s inventory currently, the Magnite brings in an indirect TPMS system onboard. Available on the top-end XV Premium Trim priced at Rs. 7.68 Lakhs, the TPMS onboard the Magnite is limited to checking only low-pressure figures and deflation conditions. Even though it does not show real-time pressure figures, it surely is a great start.
2. Hyundai i20
The latest generation of the classic Hyundai i20 gets a tyre pressure monitoring system amongst several other top-notch features on board. The system is available from the mid-spec Sportz trim (7.69 Lakhs) and onwards. With the i20’s TPMS, one can even check real-time pressure figures, thereby offering complete functionality.
3. Ford Eco Sport
The only vehicle from the Ford lineup in India, the Eco Sport gets its TPMS functionality only in the recently launched SE variants. Priced at Rs. 10.96 Lakhs, the SE’s tyre pressure monitoring system lets you check real-time tyre pressure along with a low-pressure warning. Since the SE trim doesn’t come with a spare wheel, what you get is a puncture repair kit.
4. Tata Nexon
One of the best-selling compact SUVs in India, the Nexon, gets a tyre pressure monitoring system onboard. The feature, however, starts from the second to top XS+(S) variant only which is priced at Rs. 10.55 Lakhs. The unit shows real-time pressure for each tyre, using an advanced sensor.
5. Hyundai Venue
Launched back in 2019, the Hyundai Venue was one of the very first vehicles to bring in a TPMS onboard. The cheapest variant with TPMS is the SX (O) variants priced at Rs. 11.12 Lakhs. The Highline TPMS system of the Venue displays the real-time pressure of all four wheels.
6. Honda City
Probably the only sedan to offer a TPMS as a standard, the 5th Generation City retails for Rs. 10.99 – 14.94 Lakhs. The system onboard the City is a direct one and displays real-time pressure of all tyres as you drive.
7. XUV 300
Crowned as India’s safety compact SUV, it’s no shock that the XUV 300 gets a tyre pressure monitoring system on board. The feature, however, is limited only to the top-spec W8 (O) variant that retails for Rs. 11.46 Lakhs. Nonetheless, the Tyretronic system of the XUV 300 does its job well in checking the real-time air pressure of all tyres.
8. Hyundai Creta
The Hyundai Creta is another compact SUV to offer TPMS onboard. Available starting from the second from the base EX variant, priced from Rs 10.96 lakh, the TPMS onboard the Creta is limited only to pressure indication without PSI figures for the ES, X and SX versions. The top of the line SX (O) however, gets a fully functional system with real-time pressure indication.
9. Kia Sonet
Following Hyundai’s footsteps, the Sonet too comes with TPMS onboard the HTX+ and the top-end GTX+ variants. The system is fully functional and shows real-time pressure along with a low-pressure blink warning.
10. Mahindra Thar
The importance of tyre greatly multiplies during off-road runs. This is the reason why the Mahindra Thar comes with a TPMS onboard. The feature however is limited to only the top-end LX version priced at Rs. 12.80 Lakhs. With that said, the Tyretronic system that the Thar uses not only displays real-time pressure but also indicated the direction in which the tyre is pointed at.

Many popular models now ship with TPMS as part of their safety kit. You will find it in Renault Triber, Hyundai Creta, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder, Mahindra Scorpio N, Mahindra XUV700, Tata Nexon, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Dzire, and higher trims of the Hyundai i20.
2. What cars have TPMS sensors?
Cars that include a factory TPMS system always have tire pressure sensors fitted from day one. These include Hyundai Creta, Mahindra XUV700, Tata Nexon, Skoda Kushaq, Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder, Renault Triber, Mahindra Scorpio N, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Maruti Dzire, and select variants of the Hyundai i20.
3. Is TPMS mandatory in India?
