Maruti Suzuki
Maruti Suzuki Cars India’s largest automaker has once again bagged the top spot. With 1,33,861 units sold in the month of March, Maruti Suzuki had the biggest number overall, despite an 8.44% dip in YoY sales. The OEM also held 41.63 % of the entire market share in March 2022, making it the best selling car brand of the month.

Hyundai Motors
Global Hyundai Cars As expected, Hyundai Motors India Limited stood at number 2 with 44,600 units sold in March 2022. Much like Maruti, Hyundai too saw a decrease in YoY sales of about 15.21%. The company held an overall market share of 13.87%, making it the second best selling car brand in India (March 22).

Tata Motors
Tata Motors Cars With launches such as the Altroz DCA, Tata Motors managed to secure the number 3 position by selling 42,293 cars. But unlike the top two scorers, Tata Motors clocked a massive 42.62% increase in YoY sales, capturing 13.15% of the market as well.

Mahindra
Mahindra Improving from its position last month, Mahindra managed to hold the number 4 position in March 2022, with overall sales of 27,603 units, with a superb 65.29% increase in YoY sales. In terms of market, Mahindra held a chunky 8.58%

Kia
Kia Motors The competitive sister of Hyundai, Kia managed to secure the 5th spot in March 2022 with overall sales of 22,622 units. The YoY for Kia saw an 18.44% increase, as the Brand managed to capture 7.04% of the market as well.

Toyota
Toyota cars | The QDR Promise Toyota too saw a 14.20% increase in its YoY sales with 17,131 units sold in March 2022. The brand also captured 5.33% of the market, closing the month with a good track record despite no new launches.

Renault
Renault Motors Struggling with a low sales percentage for months, Renault managed to sell off 8,518 units in March 2022, helping the OEM gain the 7th spot. The YoY sales, however, saw a crashing 31.06% decrease, as the brand managed to still hold 2.65% of the market, helping it make it to the best selling car brands list for March 2022.
