This year has witnessed prominent launches like the Scorpio-N, Brezza, C3 & Hilux. But the year is still not over yet, and we have more amazing cars coming along with time. Hyundai has just taken the wraps off their Venue N-line and is working more as well. Let’s look at the car launches to keep an eye on in 2022:

Hyundai Elantra
Hyundai Elantra Hyundai removed this sedan from its website in March this year. It might be due to the poor sales in the past months. But it raises the question of whether Elantra’s end in India. It has gone through significant changes in the global market, which India missed out on.

But there is a chance that Hyundai might bring this sedan back into the market by late 2022. It will be with some significant design changes inspired by Sonata and based on the K3 platform. It might be powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine making 150hp & 260Nm torque along with a 1.6-litre hybrid on offer. It might be priced around ₹16-20 lakhs ex-showroom.

Honda HR V
Honda HRV Honda’s most recent launch in the market was the City HEV, with a massive update featuring a hybrid powertrain and ADAS tech. They have a stronghold in the sedan segment, but it is not the same in the trending SUV segment. Honda might be launching the HRV into the Indian market this year. It has been a year since they discontinued the CR-V and Civic. HRV might share design inspiration from its elder sibling CR-V.

They do have the WR-V running in the compact SUV segment, and HRV will sit above it in the mid-size SUV segment. It might be powered by a 1.8-litre petrol engine making 120hp tuned according to BS VI norms. The expected price for this is around 12-16 lakhs ex-showroom.

Mahindra Bolero Neo PLUS
Mahindra Bolero Neo PLUS | The 7/9 Seater MPV | Mahindra is executing its plan well for the Indian market with the respective launches amazing the audience. They launched the Scorpio-N this year, and people responded well with immensely high bookings after waiting for the SUV. They also launched the previous Scorpio as Classic with some updates.

Bolero Neo is Mahindra’s attempt to conquer some more markets based on Bolero’s fan following in the country. They relaunched the TUV300 as Bolero Neo with some cosmetic updates, and now a 7/9-seater version of the same is in the works. It might be powered by the 2.2-litre diesel engine churning out around 110hp and available with two seating layouts with an expected price of around ₹11 lakhs and arrive by the year-end.

Toyota Rumion
Toyota Rumion Rumion is the rebadged version of Ertiga for Toyota. Toyota is also planning more rebadged launches such as Belta, the rebadged Ciaz. It will feature some cosmetic tweaks to differentiate it from Ertiga.

It will be powered by the same 1.5-litre petrol engine and updates such as a new 3-slat front grille, dual-pod headlamps, and will stand on newly cut alloy wheels. It might be launched later this year with an expected price of around 8-11 lakhs ex-showroom.

Audi Q3
Audi Q3 Coming to the last car on our list, we have a luxury 5-seater SUV coming to India. The Audi Q3 will be arriving around October this year. It might be offered with a 2.0-litre engine with both petrol & diesel options.

It will be based on Volkswagen’s MQB platform with design inspiration from its elder sibling, Q8. It will be equipped with a digital instrument cluster, ADAS, AWD, and more tech. Which one of these cars are you waiting for?
