The wait is over. Hyundai has officially announced the launch of the Creta EV in January 2025.
Creta EV has been one of the most awaited electric SUVs in India, and now its launch date is here. Hyundai recently confirmed that it will be launched on 17 January 2025 at the Bharat Mobility Show. Here’s what the Creta EV will offer.
Exterior: Same as the Creta ICE?

As clearly visible in the picture, the Creta EV looks quite similar to the standard Internal Combustion Engine Creta. The Hyundai has not gone wild with the design like other competitors – Mahindra Be 6 and Tata Curvv on the design section. However, some tweaks are there, like closed grills, new bumpers, differently styled alloy wheels, and EV badges.
Interior: Has it been Updated?
Creta EV will have an updated interior setup compared to the standard one. Highlights like a three-spoke steering wheel (Adapted from the Kona EV), a drive selector controller, a centre console and two cup holders, electronic parking brakes buttons, cooled seats, auto hold, a 360-degree camera, and HVAC controls on the centre panel (borrowed by the new Alcazar).

Additionally, there will be a twin-screen setup for infotainment and cluster. The size will be standard, no details are out as of now.
Does EV Mean Less Power?

The Creta EV, in terms of battery and power, stands parallel to the Tata Curvv(Entry level variant). It comes with a 45kWh battery pack that produces 138 horsepower and 255 Nm of torque.
