Hyundai Verna Facelift launch date CONFIRMED!

Hyundai Verna facelift is set to launch in the Indian market later this month. The new Honda City will also make its debut in the market this month so Hyundai has already heated up the competition with the announcement of the official launch date of the Verna facelift! The all-new Verna facelift will make its debut on 28th March 2020. It’s official!

Engine & Transmission

The BS6 norms will be effective from 1st April 2020 and the Hyundai Verna Facelift will launch almost 2-3 days ahead of the schedule. It is quite obvious now that the C-segment sedan will have a BS6 compliant engine. There are likely to be 3 engine options with the new Verna facelift. Two petrol-powered engines and one diesel-powered engine will be there under the hood.

It is for the first time ever that the Indian version of the Hyundai Verna Facelift will get a 7-speed twin-clutch automatic gearbox! This will make it replace VW Vento in terms of being the segment leader as the 7 speed DSG on the Vento is likely to be replaced by a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

Pricing & Features

The new Verna Facelift is expected to be priced slightly higher than the existing model. We can expect the price of this car to start from Rs.8 Lacs. The new Hyundai Verna gets a completely revamped front and back profile. We can easily spot Hyundai’s latest design language and certain elements that we have seen on the new Elantra. The fresh look comes from the reworked headlamps and bumpers. The overall profile remains the same as this one is a midlife makeover for the car.
