Kia tasted success at the hands of Sletos in the year 2019. This made the carmaker confident enough to reveal the Toyota Innova rivalling Carnival which was released by the end of the previous year. Now, Kia has revealed the trims and features Carnival will be available with. Let’s know about the MPV in depth.
Kia Carnival | Price and Rivals
Although there is no official pricing available, the Carnival can be expected to be priced at around ₹26 lakh for the base variant and over ₹30 lakh for the top-end model. Carnival will directly lock horns with the Toyota Innova.
Kia Carnival | Engine Specifications
The MPV will be powered by a 2.2-litre BS6-compliant diesel engine that churns out 200hp and a peak torque of 440Nm. The engine is mated with an 8-speed ‘Sportsmatic’ automatic gearbox. These engine specs make Kia Carnival the most powerful MPV on sale in India.
Kia Carnival | Variants
The Korean automaker will be launching 3 variants of the luxury MPV namely Premium, Prestige and Limousine.

Carnival Premium
This will come with two seating options: 7-seat and 8-seat. The luxury will be featuring Tri-zone automatic temperature control and One-touch power sliding doors.

Carnival Prestige
This trim will also come with two seating options: 7-seat and 9-seat. In addition to the features being offered by the Premium range, Prestige will come Dual panel electric sunroof and Smart power tailgate.

Carnival Limousine
The ultra-luxury will come in a 7-seat option with a VIP touch. It comes loaded with a plethora of features such as Luxury 2nd Row VIP Seats, Seat Upholstery Premium Nappa Leather, 25.65cm (10.1”) Dual Touchscreen Rear Seat Entertainment System, Smart Pure Air Purifier, Tri-Zone Automatic Temperature Control, One-Touch Power Sliding Doors, Dual-Panel Electric Sunroof, Smart Power Tailgate and so on.
Kia Carnival | Colour Options
The MPV comes in three colour options at the exterior: Aurora Black Pearl, Steel Silver and Glacier White Pearl. The interior gets a single option of Black and Beige Two-tone.
Kia Carnival | Safety Features
In terms of safety, the base Premium trim of Carnival will get Dual airbags, ABS with EBD, Isofix Child Anchor, Rear parking sensors and Front Seatbelt with pretensioners and load limiter as standard.
The Prestige and Limousine variants are loaded with front, side and curtain airbags, front parking sensors, Electronic Stability Control, rollover mitigation, HAC (Hill-Start Assist Control), Cornering Brake Control and the basic features of the Premium trim.
