Maruti e Vitara Spotted in Gurgaon Traffic?

Recently, a car structurally similar to the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara was seen on Gurgaon Road. The vehicle had no branding and was wrapped in anonymous tape. However, it was quite evident to identify that it was Suzuki’s upcoming e Vitara, launching in 2025. Here is the detailed information.

Maruti Suzuki e Vitara is the first EV from the Japanese brand, all set to make its debut in India in 2025. Recently, it was spotted on Sohna Road, Gurgaon in moderate traffic around 2 pm. The car was taped with a black label and had no brand association, disguising the identity. It was evident that the car was being tested anonymously for city driving. The driver was switching lanes and was accelerating through the traffic to examine the performance. Moreover, the condition of the vehicle seemed lousy, perhaps to avoid public attention.

Maruti e Vitara: What You Need to Know?

The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara will debut in India at the Bharat Mobility Show in January 2025, with sales starting in March. Its European launch is planned for June 2025.

The e Vitara offers two battery options: a 49kWh pack (144hp, 500km range) and a 61kWh pack (174hp). The AWD version delivers 184hp and 300Nm torque, featuring Trail mode for advanced traction. Built on the Heartect-e skateboard platform co-developed with Toyota, it uses LFP batteries sourced from BYD.

Interior highlights include a floating dual-screen infotainment system, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and a modern dashboard design. Key features include ADAS, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, an electronic parking brake, and wireless charging. The SUV has 180mm ground clearance and a 2,700mm wheelbase for ample interior space.

The launch was delayed due to software challenges. The expected price for Maruti e Vitara is ₹20-30 lakh which places it against Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE 05, and Hyundai Creta EV.
