Narendra Modi and his cars! We have seen the Prime Minister’s convoy several times at several places. Many of us already know about the cars that drive the Prime Minister of India but for those still wondering which cars does the Indian Prime Minister use, the answer lies right here in this article! Be it demonetisation or the surgical strike, Narendra Modi has taken some of the boldest decisions that this nation definitely needed to witness. With a great position comes great responsibility. Therefore, it is really necessary to safeguard our dear Prime Minister at all times. His cars play a vital role in his safety while travelling.

Let’s have a look at all the Narendra Modi cars ever existed:

1. Mahindra Scorpio
   

   

   Narendra Modi used this one when he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat. This one may look like a normal Mahindra Scorpio but it isn’t one! This was a customer-made Scorpio that Anand Mahindra himself got prepared for Narendra Modi. This one seems to be really close to his heart among all the Narendra Modi cars because this was the one that drove him to the swearing ceremony in the Rashtrapati Bhawan when he was appointed as the Prime Minister of India.
   Anand Mahindra offered to rebuild a Scorpio for the Indian PM. Modi, being a supporter of the ‘Make in India’ campaign agrees but the Security Personnel Group (SPG) refused and they continued with the car that is next on our list.

2. BMW 7-Series 760 Li High-Security Edition
   

   

   This one is a high-security car that serves many politicians and industrialists worldwide. The SPG decided to let go the Scorpio one opted for this one for the secure travel of the Indian Prime Minister. This car can easily survive attacks from handguns up to .44 calibre Magnum. Most automatic weapons like the AK-47 also can’t cause any damage to this luxury ride. This car sports 20-inch alloys with tyres that have the capability of running flat. The fuel tank is self-sealing and the car has also got an internal Oxygen supply.

3. 2010 Range Rover HSE
   

   

   Now you might think that Tata owns JLR so Modiji decided to go for this one! No, it isn’t that way. We suppose that Modiji’s love for the camera had made him upgrade to this powerful SUV!. Needless to say, the Range Rover is an ultimate luxury ride and doesn’t lack on the safety front too! When Modiji used to ride in the BMW, it was difficult for us to spot him but now with the RR, we can easily spot him in the front seat due to the large windshield! A 5-litre V8 engine powers this one and of course it comes with an AWD system to help the PM with some off-roading adventures in case he opts for one!

4. Toyota Land Cruiser
   

   

   This one seems to be the latest ride of our dear PM. The Toyota Land Cruiser costs almost Rs. 2 Cr on road. Just like the Scorpio, this one is also not a regular LR. This one is also a custom-built model. Just like other carmakers, Toyota doesn’t offer high-security editions with its vehicles. This one has been customised by a third party agency for sure! Powered by a 4.5-litre V8 engine, this one generates 262 Bhp and peak torque of 650 Nm. The addition of the extra weight to make it bulletproof and add other security elements need the car to have a really powerful engine. The engine under this hood does the job perfectly.

5. Tata Safari
   

   

   Though our PM never rides in this one but the Tata Safari is one of the most important among all the Narendra Modi cars. This one comes with all the network jammers and the diffuser tech setup. This car can detect any harmful object while the convoy moves ahead. Reports suggest that this one can also jam all the signals that may trigger any explosive while the convoy is on its way.

6. Toyota Fortuner
   

   

   This one also forms an integral part of Narendra Modi cars. While the Range Rover carries our beloved PM, Fortuners carry the security persons. These black Toyota Fortuner look equally masculine and form a part of the Modi convoy!
