While Tata Motors has finally launched the Automatic Trim of the Tata Altroz, the question now is whether the newly launched DCA trim of the hatchback matches up to its key competitors? Well, let’s find out.
What is the DCA Variant?
Before moving forward, it’s crucial to know what all the hype about the DCA trim is. Launched recently the “DCA” is the automatic trim of the Altroz Hatchback. But what makes it special is the fact that it is the world’s first DTC with a planetary gear system.
The Altroz DCA comes with several segment firsts such as machine learning technology that compares the performance of the hatch with ideal parameters to adjusts the transmission accordingly; wet clutch with active cooling technology that is suited for hot weather conditions and stop and go traffic; shift by wire technology that reduces the gear-shift time; self-healing mechanism that clears out the dust; and auto park lock which automatically engages park mode in case the driver forgets and exits the vehicle.

Tata Altroz DCA vs. Rivals: The Price Game
While the Altroz isn’t the first car in the segment to offer a dual-clutch transmission, what shines is the introductory price of the trim that falls between Rs 809900 to Rs 989900 lakhs. Here’s how it matches up with key rivals:
