The festive season has begun and Tata plans to launch its micro SUV, Punch soon. After various guesses on how it would feel to drive the Tata Punch based on spy shots, Tata finally released a teaser giving us a peek into the interiors. Here are 5 things we picked up from the Tata Punch interior reveal.
-
Dual Tone Interiors
In the Interior reveal video, Tata shows the interiors from the second row. The dashboard has usual tones, with highlights around the ac vents. In the video, the highlights are the same colour as the car exterior. The dashboard also has small white details which give it a sports look along with the bright blue highlights.

Infotainment system similar to Altroz
The Tata Punch borrows a number of features from Tata’s 5 seater hatchback, the Altroz. The dashboard design looks similar. Most notably, both cars have a 7-inch floating infotainment system. We expect the infotainment system to have both android and apple compatibility. It could also come with Tata’s new iRA connected features. -
Semi Digital Instrument Cluster
The Punch also borrows the Altroz’s semi-digital instrument cluster with its 7-inch display. The screen shows the current gear position, RPM, fuel level, trip meter, and how long the petrol will last.
-
AMT Gearbox
The teaser shows an AMT gearbox. The gearbox looks similar to the 5 speed AMT transmission that comes with the Tata Tiago. Tata will launch both an AMT and a Manual Gear option for their upcoming micro SUV. There are also speculations that the Punch will borrow Tiago’s 1.2-litre petrol engine that provides 86PS and 113NM peak torque.
