Although, the Volkswagen Virtus was spotted testing in India recently the brand has not confirmed if they will bring it here in India anytime soon. Well, one of the most exciting questions is that will this new sedan replace the Vento or it will be a part of the Volkswagen India lineup along with the existing cars. 1. MQB AO IN Platform
   

   

   The first major highlight is that this sedan will be based on the MQB AO IN platform which also underpins the already underpins Volkswagen Taigun. This will ensure that the 95% production of this car is localised and this will ensure that the pricing will remain under control. This way, the German brand will be able to ensure that this car is a great competitor for others in the Indian market.

2. Bigger Measurements
   

   

   The Volkswagen Virtus is bigger than the Vento in all dimensions. For your reference, this sedan rides on a 2,650mm long wheelbase which is longer than the Vento. Also, the Virtus is 90mm longer and 52mm wider than the Volkswagen Vento. Last but not least, even the boot space in this sedan is higher than VW Vento. This definitely makes us think that this will stand above the Vento in the lineup. What do you think?

3. Turbo-Petrol Engine
   

   

   You might get a little disappointed here as the Virtus has the same story under the hood. The Volkswagen Virtus comes with the same 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine under the hood which is also available on the Vento. With bigger dimensions, will the same engine work well? What do you think? 4. Design and Interior
   

   

   This is the Brazilian spec Volkswagen Virtus. All of us know VW doesn’t like to change much on the inside, therefore, we can expect them to bring the Virtus here with the same interior as you see above in the picture. The 10.25-inch display lights the cockpit up while the 8-inch display on the centre offers you all that you need. This unit offers MirrorLink, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Leather seats, steering mounted controls and automatic climate control add to the value factor of the sedan.

5. Launch Timeline & Price
   

   

   Although there is no official news from VW India yet, we expect them to launch this in 2021. As far as the price range is considered, we suppose the Virtus will have a starting price of under 10 Lakhs if they want to stay in the competition and prove to be a worthy opponent! Talking about rivalry, this German sedan will compete against Honda City and the Hyundai Verna once it enters the Indian market.
