With the launch of the Volkswagen Virtus, the mid-size sedan segment has got another capable option that is worthy enough of all the attention. But now with two promising sedans sharing the same lineage, the choice for sedan consumers is surely going to get tough. As is evident from the comparison above both the Virtus as well as the Slavia are petrol-only offerings with both sedans offering either a 1.0-litre TSI or a bigger 1.5-litre TSI with a 6-speed manual (both) or 6-speed torque-converter (1.0 Litre) or a 7-speed DSG depending (1.5 Litre). Nonetheless, in terms of performance, both sedans are superb and can perform well in both cities as well as the highways.

When it comes to sedans, features are the topmost priority. And staying true to all the hype both the Virtus as well as the Slavia offer top-notch features onboard, that is almost totally identical.

Both the Virtus as well as the Skoda Slavia get the same key features that include stuff like 7-inch fully-digital instrument cluster, 10-inch touch infotainment with Apple Car Play and Android Auto along with features such as rear air-con vents, ventilated front seat, wireless chargers, electric sunroof etc.

However, as per the latest updates from Skoda, the 10 Inch touch infotainment onboard the Slavia will be replaced with a smaller 8 Inch touch infotainment due to the ongoing chip shortage and will be missing the wireless Apple Car Play and Android Auto features.

Nonetheless, while most of the key features onboard are identical on both sedans, the Slavia stands out with its unique two-spoke steering wheel, compared to the Virtus’ conventional three-spoke steering wheel. The air-con vents on the Slavia also get chrome surrounds, and VW Virtus makes up for that funky body colour inserts on the dashboard in the top-spec models.

When it comes to price, the Virtus offers better affordability with prices starting at Rs. 11.21 Lakhs all the way up to Rs. 17.91 Lakhs. The Slavia on the other hand is priced at Rs. 10.99 Lakhs to 18.39 Lakhs.
