Maruti Jimny 5 Door

Maruti Suzuki Jimny The news of the 5-door Maruti Jimny has been doing rounds for quite a lot of time now. While the international model has already started being tested in Europe, the Indian Spec version could make its Debut at the Auto Expo 2023. Expected to ride on a 300mm longer wheelbase than the current gen Jimny, the 2023 Maruti Jimny will also be lengthier. In terms of juice, the SUV will be powered by a 1.5 litre K15 C Dual Jet Petrol engine returning 103 BHP/137NM with Mild-Hybrid tech onboard mated to either a 6-speed torque converter auto or a classic 5-speed manual.

Baleno Cross a.k.a YTB

Baleno Cross as rendered by SRK Designs Codenamed YTB, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno Cross SUV-coupe could be the next big thing at the Auto Expo 2023. Spied testing a few times now, and the Baleno Cross could even launch as early as the first quarter of 2023. The new cross will be based on the HEARTECT platform, underpinning the classic Baleno. Likely to be powered by a 1.0-litre Booster Jet petrol engine with both a CVT auto and manual on offer, the SUV-Coupe could also offer the 1.2-litre/1.5-litre Dual Jet engine with Mild Hybrid tech as well.

Creta Facelift

Creta N-Line With the all-new Creta Facelift already launched in a few Asian markets, it’s time for the SUV to debut in India. Topped with all-new exteriors with redesigned signature grille, new LED headlamp set-up and much more, the Creta facelift will also bring in a new interior set-up with a new colour scheme, advanced infotainment set-up and premium audio. There will also be an addition of highly popular ADAS features that modern-day SUVs are now offering. In terms of the engine, however, the Creta is likely to retain what it currently offers. Nonetheless, it would be fun to potentially see the Facelift Creta in flesh at the Auto Expo 2023.

Innova HyCross

Toyota Innova Crysta Limited Edition Already caught testing in India, the next generation Innova, rumoured to boast the moniker of the HyCross, is also expected to be showcased at the Auto Expo 2023. The HyCross Innova will be based on the OEM’s FWD Monocoque chassis and will possess a large wheelbase of 2850 mm. As per reports, the HyCross will be powered by a 2.0-litre petrol unit, which might be a localized version of the THS (Toyota Hybrid System) II. The THS II offers a twin-motor set-up that produces a high torque and fuel economy.

5 Door Thar

5-door Mahindra Thar // Credits: RushLane Much like the Jimny, the 5 Door Thar too will be the long-wheelbase version of the cult SUV from Mahindra likely to debut at the Auto Expo 2023. With a larger wheelbase on offer, the 5 Door Thar will be much more practical than its 3-door sibling, with better space inside for both front and rear passengers. In terms of engine nothing is expected to be changed, however, if reports are to be believed then the entire engine lineup will be recalibrated for better torque and power.

2023 Harrier

Tata Harrier 2023 // Credits: Motoctane The Auto Expo 2023 is likely to be the home for the debut of the 2023 mid-life facelift of the Harrier which is expected to launch in 2023. As per reports, the SUV will come with a few design changes, upgraded interiors and finally ADAS features onboard along with 360-degree cameras and other Knicks and Knacks. The biggest change, however, could be the inclusion of a petrol engine the Harrier currently misses out on.

2023 Safari

Tata Safari Test Mule Much like the Harrier, the Safari is in for a mid-life update that will reportedly offer several high-end features currently missing along with redesigned exteriors and upgraded interiors as well. Much like the Harrier the Safari too will be topped with ADAS features like lane keep assist, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot monitoring etc. The Safari is also likely to get a new 1.5-litre Turbo Petrol onboard with both manuals as well as auto transmission on offer.
